As we mark World Refugee Day—June 20th—more than 58,000 Congolese refugees are living in Rwanda. Refugee children are five times more likely to be out of school than non-refugee children.

Impact Hope is honored to send over 700 refugee students to safe Christian boarding schools every year. Many of the students have only ever known life as a refugee. For some, they remember the day that they abandoned their homes in the hopes of finding a safe refuge in Rwanda.

In this video, you will meet one of the Impact Hope graduates who is now a teacher of History and Geography. We are proud of the students who work extremely hard to overcome the challenges of being a refugee.
